The Poetrix is a series of environments and interfaces inside of virtual reality spaces. These interfaces and environments think using a combination of technologies, including quantum computers. The Poetrix interfaces deliver poems based on user input combined with interpretations of JE Solo’s lyrics. The Poetrix creates opportunities to experience lyrics and poetry in new ways, and offers new methods of collaboration.
In some cases, The Poetrix writes original poetry; in other cases users can interact with JE’s writing with a wearable poem or by speaking in chat with a simple Poetrix interface. The Poetrix in NEOS VR utilized D-Wave’s Quantum computer to interpret user input against Solo’s lyrics. Then, in combination with specially programmed machine learning technologies, The poetrix creates a new, original poem in the style of JE Solo and delivers it into VR as text and audio.
The Environment IS the NPC
JE created a new kind of NPC. As opposed to being a stand alone entity, the NEOS-based Poetrix is the environment, i.e. the entire environment is the consciousness. Those who visit the environment can interact with the consciousness via a recognizable and accessible interface.

Historic First
